d555 POE Ideal Range
This feels like a dumb question
But all other devices specify an "Ideal Range"
The d555 indicates it's built on the 450 series.
So is it's "Ideal Range" something like:
0.6m to 6m
There must be a reason why this device's range is so elusive.
Can you elaborate?
What do I need to know?

Hi Steve Steve Depth measurement error starts at around zero at the front of the camera and increases linearly over distance as the distance between the camera and the observed object / surface increases. Beyond a certain distance from the camera, the accuracy of depth values begins to noticeably drift.
On camera models equipped with a D450 module inside them, this drift will start to become noticeable beyond 6 meters distance from the camera. 6 meters is therefore the furthest extent of the optimal range, but is not the maximum achievable range.
Camera models with a D450 can depth-sense up to 20 meters, though more accurate depth image results will be achieved when using 10 meters as the maximum.
