L515 Feature request: Software API to turn off IR
Hello!
I would like to request a feature for the L515 - the ability to turn off the IR emitter through software.
I'm aware I can use the "hardware sync pin" to enable and disable the IR emitter but that's a very inelegant solution if you're using a PC which doesn't have a GPIO output to control the pin with.
When used without the hardware sync cable, the L515 is an elegant, self-contained unit - but to use the hardware sync feature, from a PC my users end up with a sketchy looking USB-to-GPIO module, an extra cable that looks like it belongs inside a product not outside, and extra drivers and installers and settings to get everything matched up right. It really makes my product look a lot less professional - and it's causing us big reliability headaches.
Would it be possible to get a feature added to the L515 software or drivers, to allow us to turn the IR emitters on and off in a timely manner without using the hardware sync feature?
