Hi Revathi  Do you need to measure between two points on the object or measure the height, width and length of the object (volumetric measurement) please?

Volumetric measurement is a way of describing measuring the XYZ dimensions of an object such as a box.

If you are able to use Windows or Android and do not mind commercial software then the software DotProduct Dot3D Scan can provide 3D point-to-point measurement and area / diameter / cube measurement.  It is compatible with D435i.

Thanks for your reply. Our intention of this conversation is to understand whether the dimensional measurement can be achieved using single D435i camera or not. That is the only thing we need to understand from you.

Please describe the kind of measurement that you want to make.  Are you aiming to measure the width, length and height of an object such as a box, like in the image below. This information is important to be able to accurately answer your question.

If you are able to use Python, a good starting point will be to try it with the example box_dimensioner_multicam that can also work with a single camera.
