Hi O Patrouix  Do you hear the USB insertion sound effect of Windows (doo-doo-doo-doo) when inserting the camera with the problem into a USB port on your hub, please?

If not, is there any reaction if you insert the camera into a USB port directly on the laptop?

No insertion noise through the hub or directly on the laptop.

And there is no difference if you unplug the micro end of the cable from the side of the camera, turn it upside down and re-insert it into the camera (as USB-C cables are two-way insertion on their micro end)?

    No difference. I've made 2 tests :

     - turning the USB-C cable at the camera

     - turning the USB-C cable at laptop

The 4 possibilities have given the same result.

I've noticed that the camera body of the non running one is getting hotter than the running one.

Maybe the internal voltage regulator has a problem ?

The non running one was plugged on the USB hub with an Arduino board also plugged. The Arduino voltage regulator (external power) broke maybe because the USB was connected to the laptop and the external power was also used.

    Any feedback is welcome.

A USB device may heat up rapidly if there is a fault in the USB cable or in the USB port.

There was also once a case of a developer board overheating, with accompanying camera ASIC and Projector temperatures of 60 and 56 degrees C respectively.

I'll have a look but my second D435 does not heat up on the same laptop, USB hub and cable.

I suspect that the non running one has a problem inside.
