D455 and RealSense Viewer Slow/Laggy on new i9 Dell laptop
I am a new user of the D455. I have tried it on three Dell laptops and it runs fine on two of the three. On the third laptop it's very slow/laggy using the RealSense Viewer app and its default settings (even with only the depth camera on). If I turn on post processing it almost complete stops/freezes. Ironically, this laptop is the newest and most powerful of the three (and the one I'd like to use with this D455, for a variety of reasons). I've used Dell Command to update all the drivers on this laptop. I've update the firmware in the D455.
Anyone have any ideas what's causing this? (Probably something simple)
Some details:

- Dell Precision 7740
- Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9980HK CPU @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz
- 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
- Windows 10 Enterprise
- Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0

Please try disabling the two GLSL options in the Settings interface of the RealSense Viewer using the instructions at the link below to see whether it makes a positive difference to performance on that particular laptop.

Thank you for testing the GLSL options. Next, please launch the example program rs-capture to display all available stream types simultaneously and see whether this program also lags.

Well, it's definitely an improvement running rs-capture, vs the Viewer...but still not quite right. It streams all three channels (VL, depth and IMU) at what looks like a reasonable rate for about 5 seconds, then it hesitates/glitches for about 4 frames over about 2 seconds, then this cycle repeats, over and over, consistently. Task manager says rs-capture is using about 3 to 4% of my CPU. I'm mystified.

The camera drivers automatically install when the connector is inserted into the USB port if they have not already been installed. Instructions for completely uninstalling the drivers and then re-installing them are at the link below.
