Retrofit D435 to D435f

Hi, I would like to check if it is possible to retrofit D435 to D435f.

Understand that there is physical IR pass filter (near-infrared filter) applied to cover the glass.

D435f = D435 with 750nm near-infrared filter (CLAREX NIR-75N).

I am wondering if we can buy the same specs of such filter and apply it manually. Can we achieve the same performance as D435f ?

Whilst it may be expected that applying a NIR-75N filter externally over the front glass of a D435 would affect light in a similar way to the in-built NIR-75N filters of the D435f, I cannot offer guarantees about how closely the behaviour of external filters will match the D435f.
