Rapuyta robotics ,About D435i FW
Hi
Thank you for your help,
The customer intentionally uses the one with (P).
(P) means as follows
(P): Intel, once or twice a year, evaluates a firmware release to be included in the production line.
There is 5.12.13.50 in the FW of D435i, but it says Major firmware release` (Production firmware release).
The (P) mark is not attached in discribe, but is it is no problem to recognize that the (P) is not attached?
I don't understand the difference between major firmware and (p).
Best regards

Firmware versions that are labelled as Production are listed on a separate page at the link below.
https://dev.intelrealsense.com/docs/recommended-production-camera-configurations
'Production' firmwares are not different from normal firmware releases in terms of their content. They are ones that that are recommended as safe for use in applications where stability is critical, such as in commercial products.
In practice though, new firmwares are tested so rigorously before release that problems with them after release are extremely rare. If you require a modern firmware and SDK combination then a good rule to follow is 'one version back' - using an SDK and its recommended firmware that is one version older than the current newest one. Doing so provides time for any issues that arise from a new release to be discovered.
