About FoV issue of D435i
Hi,
Recently, I use D435i to catch the point cloud data that have the unstable condition of FoV.
The unstable condition is sometimes following FoV specification, but sometimes bigger than FoV specification.
Such as below,
Normal point cloud follows FoV specification.

Normal point cloud is bigger than FoV specification.

You can get the detail condition, and download "FoV_Error.mp4" from the below address.

However, I use the decimation, disparity, spatial and temporal to do pre-processing.
It has the same condition.
Filter point cloud follows FoV specification.

Filter point cloud is bigger than FoV specification.

You can get the detail condition, and download "FoV_Error_Filter.mp4" from the below address.

My camera configuration shows below.

Could you help me to solve this issue?
Because I don't know why FoV suddenly changes size?
Thanks so much,
Getom

Hi Getomboy The stretching out of the point cloud resembles a phenomenon called ghost noise. An example of this stretching effect with a point cloud of a banana can be seen in the link below. There are also further-reading links to other ghost noise related cases at the bottom of that discussion.

Can you confirm whether the effect still occurs if you apply no post-processing filters, please?
