How to track VR headset in a moving cabin

Hi,
We have a problem. We need to track a VR headset inside a moving cabin. The optical tracking that comes with the headset can therefore not be used.
So I'm searching for an alternative. Could I use one of the RealSense cameras to track the VR headset in a reliably and not to difficult way? I was thinking about the T265 (see specific question about that one). But I think is is not the correct solution.
Any creative thoughts?
