L515 CES Body Scanning Demo
Has the code for the body scanning demo at the 2020 CES been released? Does anyone know if D400 series cameras would be usable for this kind of application?
This is the specific demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UzIfn667abE

Some of the CES 2020 L515 demos were based on commercial software, such as Cubemos for the skeleton tracking and DotProduct Dot3D Pro for the room scanning. There is currently no information though about whether the box measuring and body scanning demos were based on commercial software or were custom-built demos and so there is no sample code for those demos.

There are commercial solutions available for the 400 Series cameras for both box dimensioning and body scanning so it is possible that the CES demos were based on existing softwares but there is no official information to confirm it at present.
The 400 Series cameras have had full body scanning support for some time. The commercial software product RecFusion Pro provides multiple RealSense 400 Series camera scanning like the L515 nine-camera demo.

It is also possible to set up your own multiple camera scanning system that combines individual 'point cloud' scans into a single "mega cloud". An example of such a project is one that can stitch together clouds from up to 20 RealSense 400 Series cameras.

Intel have also published an advanced-level seminar on YouTube about multiple RealSense camera body scanning for the purpose of real-time body joint detection and tracking.
