The D415 has around 2.5x better image quality than the D430 Depth Module (and so less error over distance), and so it is a good choice for applications where precise accuracy is important.  The D415 Depth Module is also the only Depth Module in the range that has an integrated RGB sensor, so that is important too if your application requires RGB.

Whilst the D430 has a smaller minimum distance (and so can get closer to objects), your operating range of 70 to 100 cm should be far enough from the object that the D415 will be a suitable choice.

It is also possible to increase accuracy by using a high graphics resolution (the optimal depth resolution for the D415 is 1280x720).  At close range, reducing the scale of the camera's "Depth Units" can also help close-range measuring accuracy.

The chart below compares how the error rate increases as distance from the object increases.  The D415 is the green line on the chart, demonstrating its reduced error over distance compared to D430 / D435.

Thank you for your kind response.,

In our case the measurement error between two object needs to be <0.5mm, but from the graph scale can we say that it is possible to get measurement error <0.5mm for the distance range from camera to object is 70 cm to 100 cm. Moreover, the measurement is taken from the face.

    thanks in advance

The depth accuracy of the D400 series cameras is less than one percent of the distance from the object. So if the camera is 1 meter (100 cm) from the object, the expected accuracy is between 2.5 mm to 5 mm.
