D435 recognised in Skype / webex but not skype for business.
HI all. I bought this camera to play around with depth sensing but also as a webcam. It works in Skype and in Webex and in the windows camera app but not in skype for business. I searched online and it may be something to do with the drivers. any idea how I could fix this?

I have used the Skype for Business web app with the D435i camera recently. The app displayed a large-size static profile picture of the other person in the conversation though instead of a live video feed, so I could not tell if I was appearing to the other person or they were seeing just my profile picture in the same way that I saw theirs.
There is a Skype for Business video troubleshooting documentation at the link below if you have not seen it already.

Have you been through the 'Troubleshooting Skype For Business video' information please (a page that is different to the audio and video troubleshooting page I linked ot earlier) Do you get a message saying the camera is not detected, or does it seem like the camera is detected but there is no video picture?

I have been to that troubleshooting page. THe camera is present as a camera in device manager. As I said, it works in regular skype, webex and the built in windows camera app, just not skype for business. it says we didn't detect a camera
I think it is something to do with the type of camera that skype for business supports vs an intel issue

Yes, it is likely a Skype issue. A Microsoft support agent's advice was to check that there aren't exclamation marks beside the camera drivers in the Windows Device Manager (unlikely if the camera is otherwise working fine) and to make sure that there are no other programs open that might be using the camera.

The likelihood that the problem is on Microsoft's side of things and there is nothing that Intel can do to change it, unfortunately. It is possible to test for a camera conflict by right-clicking on a camera in Device Manager and selecting the 'disable' option to see if it makes a difference. It can be re-enabled again afterwards.
