Conflict between RealSense Viewer (2.20 and up) and card reader with USB over IP

Hi,

So my issue is quite specific and I'd like to at least figure out what could be the cause since I can't seem to understand how these 2 devices conflict with each other.

Long story short, I have a smart card reader that I use with USB over IP software and ever since RealSense SDK 2.20 came out my reader now takes ages to complete a reading (with RealSense Viewer running in parallel for example).

With version 2.17 I had no such issue and also if I use the device directly (without USB over IP) the issue is also gone. Since having the card reader connected directly is not an option I wonder what could be the cause? Is there any difference on the USB comms from 2.20 and so on?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

PS: It's an RFID reader and I'm using a D435

    Thank you for your interest in the Intel RealSense D435 camera.

    Did you test this on a different computer? Do you see the same issue?

    Yes, I did try on a different PC and even with a different card reader (model).

    The issue really seems to be related with the USB over IP reason why I was trying to figure out if something related with the USB connection changed on SDK version 2.20 and up. What puzzles me the most is that I don't even need to have the camera connected, just the RealSense viewer running and the problem is present.

    I'm assuming the issue is only related with the RealSense SDK only because from the card reader point of view, nothing has changed, firmware or software.

    Hello Diego,

     

    I tested this with the latest librealsense version and a USB 3 card reader. It worked with no issues, with the camera connected, while streaming.

    This might a network issue, you should check it.
