D457 operating temperature range when used externally
Hi,
First, when I want to use D457 externally, I would like to know the temperature that can be operated. As far as I know, it can be operated at 0-50 ℃. I made a purchase for externally, but can the model be used at -20-40 ℃? Additionally, it will be used on the coast, so it is a humid environment.
Secondly, may I know the recommended specifications of the PC connected to your product?
Lastly, is the resolution and frame that can be used between USB and GMSL cables different? When using USB, we confirmed that your SDK supports only 5 frames at the highest resolution when operating.
Thanks.

Hi Jhheo When the firmware driver detects that the Projector temperature of the camera has dropped below 0 degrees C then the projector's laser will shut off. It also shuts off if the Projector temperature rises above 60 degrees C. The camera can continue to operate when the laser is shut off but the depth image quality may be reduced.
RealSense 400 Series cameras can be used with a wide range of computers and computing devices that are equipped with Intel or Arm processors. The cameras have also been shown to be usable with AMD Ryzen processors, though there is much less data about their use with AMD CPUs.
If the PC that the camera will be used with in your outdoor application needs to be small then one of the ASUS range of NUC mini PCs may be worth considering, as RealSense cameras can be used with NUCs.

If you can only use 5 FPS when using 1280x720 resolution then this indicates that your camera may be being detected as being on a slow USB2 connection instead of USB3, where 30 FPS can be used with 1280x720. The camera could be detected as USB2 if it is plugged into a USB2 port instead of a USB3 port, or if you are using your own choice of USB cable that is a USB2 one, or if the camera is plugged into a USB2 hub.
