Hi Cenkcetix  Thanks very much for your questions.

    1.  D455f has not been tested underwater by RealSense users at the time of writing this.  The main advantage of the light-blocking filters on the D455f is reduced negative effects on the image from light reflections.

    2.  D457 has a mode switch in its casing that, when set to the 'USB' position, enables D457 to be detected as a D455, with the same performance and feature-set as a D455 but with the added advantage of the IP65 protection against water and dust.

    Hi

Happy New Year. Considering that the D455f model has a light-block filter, if it is placed inside a case and there is a glass or plastic cover in front of the sensors, does this model still have the filtering capability or does it work the same as the D455 model?

Hi Info  As long as the window placed in front of the camera is completely clear and does not have any properties that filter or distort the light passing through it then the filtering on the D455f's sensors should not be affected.  It is recommended though that an anti-reflective coating is applied to both sides of the window however.  Without the coating, reflections and scattering from the camera's laser light may occur.
