    Hello Revathi,

Please describe how you got to this point. Confirm if the steps below are accurate.

    1. Installed RealSenseID SDK version 0.16.0: rsid_sdk_v0.16.0_win64.exe
    2. Upgraded the firmware version on your device to F450_2.4.2.74_SIGNED.bin

What happens next is where we need clarification:
    3. On the same host, downgraded the SDK to 0.15.0, rsid_sdk_v0.15.0_win64-signed.exe?
      OR
Moved the RealSenseID to a different host with RealSenseID SDK 0.15.0?

    What does the LOG show?

Does the RealSenseID work with SDK 0.16.0?

    Sincerely,
    Jesus G.

Initially, the Realsend ID was running using rsid_sdk_v0.15.0. Then the firmware got updated. The rsid_viewer started to display "Serial_Error". Hence we have been forced to upgrade the SDK (v0.16.0).Then the exe is working fine. Our question to you is as per our use case, when the firmware gets updated, what needs to be done in our exe file to handle the firmware upgrade to rollout errorless deployments.

    Hello Revathik,

It is best to match the RealSenseID SDK version with the FW that is released with each SDK version in order to benefit from the latest functionality, performance, and security updates. If your device has firmware 2.4.2.74 then it should be used with hosts that run RealSenseID SDK 0.16.0 for maximum compatibility.

    Sincerely,
