Or to develop on ubuntu 22.04, do i have to do the install from source or can i do the apt get package method?

Seems like it is working, but does not want to measure distance unless I am looking at the center of a frame? The edge of measuring one thing to another seems to have a dead zone filled with zeros?...

I found the answer from playing around. Open the folder with the main CmakeList.txt file in vscode, use the bar at bottom of screen to pick what to build, run, or debug.
