D401 camera module compatibility with V3 D4 Vision Processor ?

Do you know if the V3 version of the D4 vision processor used in previous Realsense cameras is compatible with the new D401 camera module from the D405 ? My theory was that since the D401 uses the same OV9782 camera sensors as are used on the D450 camera module, the V3 Vision Processor should already contain the right sensor driver. Also, according to the March 22 version of the datasheet, the connector pinouts match up, with the only difference being the lack of projector and RGB camera signals on the D401 camera module.
Grateful for any light you can shed on the subject.

The D401 requires the V4 version of the Vision Processor D4 due to its RGB data being obtained from the depth sensor and enhanced with an image signal processor (ISP) instead of having a separate RGB sensor component.
