D405 Micro-B 3.0 cable get stuck with camera
I have a RealSense D405 in Zurich with a damaged USB Micro-B connection. The cable was accidentally pulled, and the USB plug is now stuck in the camera and cannot be removed normally.
Does RealSense provide a repair service for this type of physical damage?
If not, could you please advise on the recommended repair option? For example, is it possible to replace or re-solder the USB connector, or replace the relevant internal board?

Hi Shaochang Tan RealSense do not offer a hardware repair service. It is possible for users to carry out self-repair though. The USB connector pins can be re-soldered and have been done so by a couple of D405 users.
Alternatively, a new Vision Processor D4 V4 replacement board for the D405 (the one of the two boards in the camera that has the USB connector on) can be purchased from approved RealSense parts suppliers, such as Rutronik24.

A D4 V4 board will typically cost around 80 euros.
