Announcing the RealSense 585 Camera and RealSense Perception Studio

Hi everyone,

RealSense have announced the RealSense D585 AI-native depth camera, powered by a proprietary Gen 5 SoC that delivers significant advances in depth quality, close-range performance, and on-device AI processing.  D585 will be released in early 2027.

Also announced is RealSense Perception Studio, which brings advanced perception capabilities to the broader RealSense ecosystem, giving developers early access to technologies including enhanced close-range depth, person detection, and visual-inertial odometry.

Together, they represent a major step forward in our mission to deliver the Visual Cortex of Physical AI™ for robotics and automation.
