real sense d405

hi, im looking for depth camera that can measure depth of tooth cavity preparation which is 1-2mm , can intel real sense D405 fit the purpose? picture of depth as below

    Hi eva mu  I performed depth measurement tests with a D405 with a white object with a similar shallow indentation.  With certain settings it was possible to have the cavity visually display as a different color to the rest of the surface on the depth image but an accurate numerical depth value could not be obtained for that shallow an indentation, unfortunately.

    Thank you for your comment. May i know if you could recommend other option other than D405 to measure depth if you ever come across it?

    I can only advise about RealSense cameras, and D405 is the only close range RealSense camera that can work at this very close distance from the object.
