Technical Inquiry - Power Specifications for RealSense D435i and D457

    D457 power consumption in mW can be found on page 47 of the D457 data sheet.

     

     

    Regarding D435i, the power consumption of its Vision Processor D4 V3 board can be found on page 103 of the 400 Series data sheet.

     

     

    The diagram below on the same page describes the power requirements of the overall camera (the D4 V3 board and the D430 module together).

     

     

    2.  Page 35 of the 400 Series data sheet describes the D4 V3 board's power requirements in amps.

     

     

    Page 25 of the D457 data sheet provides the D4 V5 board's power requirements in volts and mA in USB and FAKRA modes.

     

     

    It is recommendable that a maximum of 2W is budgeted for each camera.

     

    I confirm that on D435i, USB provides both power and communication.  On D457, power and communication is through the FAKRA cable, unless the hidden mode switch under the removable cap on top of the camera has been moved sideways to put the camera into USB mode instead of FAKRA.
