gain performance get worse on color image after firmware update to 5.12.12
I have been using the d 415 in our 3d scanner since 2018.
So far, firmware ver050902 has been applied, and lately it was changed to ver051212 with the update of sdk。At this time, the following problems have been confirmed in the rgb imaging results, and a solution is needed.
Compared to ver050902,rgb gain of ver051212 is higher by default, and there is a lot of noise.
(The internal pixel gain seems to be high.Is it possible to reduce this to the same level as ver050902?)
Even if "controls-color-gain" is lowered to 1, gradation collapse is still seen.
The ver050902 does not show such noise or gradation collapse.(However, "controls-color-gain" is the behavior of luminance gain)
Could anyone please tell the causes of noise and gradation collapse in the above rgb imaging results? and it would be great to show me how to improve them.

Hi Jianfei Li Which RealSense SDK version are you using, please?
If you are using firmware 5.12.12.100 then you should be using a minimum RealSense SDK version of 2.39.0. If your SDK version is earlier than 2.39.0 then I would recommend downgrading to firmware 5.12.7.100 as this was the last firmware before internal changes in the firmware introduced the need to use SDK 2.39.0 as a minimum when using firmwares newer than 5.12.7.100.
If you are using the firmware in a commercial product then Intel recently categorized the currently latest 5.13.0.50 firmware as a Production (P) class firmware suitable for commercial applications. The recommended SDK version for matching with this firmware is 2.50.0

@MartyG I am glad to have your reply. we tried the minimum sdk still found it not desirable. we found that RGB images with firmware version 5.10.6 or earlier had an optimal internal gain, and it was more possible to obtain good images.
which version of SDK is recommeded for firmware version 5.10.6?

5.10.6 was the recommended firmware for the RealSense SDK version 2.17.0 from November 2018.
