Old D435 Cameras cannot connect to computer
Have 2 very old D435 cameras (maybe a few years old), when plugged into usb 3.0 ports they just heat up and are not detected by the RealSense-viewer program. Running rs-fw-update -l just shows that no devices detected. Checking the ports, the cameras are not even detected as usb devices. Tried a third newer camera, with same cable and it works. Also tried connecting the 2 cameras with another computer but same issue occurs. Connecting on Windows just shows the unrecognised usb device error and the firmware update tool shows no devices found. Suspect could be firmware issues but no way to check, is there any solution? Once again, the camera is quite old and no updates have been run on it for maybe a year or so. The cameras used to work on old computer.

Hi Elywwall Have the two affected cameras been stored inactive for a period of weeks / months in a cool dry place such as a drawer or cupboard before you used them again and found that they no longer worked, please?

There have been a few past cases in which a camera has not worked correctly after a prolonged period of inactivity. They have shown the ability to recover after a few weeks though. So it may be worth applying power to them regularly for a few weeks to confirm whether your cameras can naturally recover too.
