Object Detection with D415
Hi,
In our team we want to use D415 camera for object detection. The problem is that recorded videos don't have good quality (the objects are blurred). The only parameters that we fixed are resolution (1920x1080) and FPS (30). Distance till object is 1 - 2 m.
Is there a way to improve the quality of the videos? Or for depth cameras it is expected blurred videos when the object moves?

Hi Vigen B The sensors on the D415 camera model use rolling shutters that are less suited to capturing motion than the faster global shutter. The result may be the described blurring when motion is taking place. The D435 and D435i models have a fast global shutter on the depth sensor and a rolling shutter on RGB, whilst the D455 has global shutters on both the RGB and depth sensors.
Increasing the frame rate to 60 FPS on your D415 may help to reduce blurring, though 1920x1080 is not supported at that FPS speed - you would have to drop to 848x480 or 960x540.
You could therefore alternatively try 1920x1080 at 6 FPS with a manual RGB exposure value of '70'.
A discussion in the link below is a very good reference about motion blur on the D415 model.

MartyX Grover thanks for quick response. Will try with lower fps too.
