USB cable enabling IP67 for D456

Hi there,

D456 series shows IP67 performance with USB type-C connector. I am assuming that it has USB type-C with gasket for ingress protection.

Do we need special cable with for completing IP solution?

What kind of cable can I use for it?

The commercial IP rated USB type-C cable is designed for special housing different from Real Sence camera.

Hi Ykawate1 The water protection of the D456 and D457 models is rated as IP65, meaning that it protects against directional jets of water spray.

Whilst the USB cable is a tight fit in the USB port on the base of the camera, there is a small sliver of the USB connector metal left exposed.

Whilst this is not likely to be a problem, if you remain concerned about the possibility of water ingress then possible solutions to seal the port completely are discussed here:
