High-speed differential input signaling levels data sensitivity of D435 with USB2.0
Hello,
What is the input signals leveling sensitivity (D+ D- ) of D435 for USB 2.0?
For example - The USB standard defines -+175mV for far-end.
Thank you,

Thank you for contacting Intel RealSense customer support.
Intel recommends using the USB 3.0 cable that came with the RealSense camera. The cable that came with your RealSense Camera is a high-quality USB cable that is capable of handling the power and bandwidth requirements of the camera.
For more information, please refer to Table 3-46. Vision Processor D4 Board Power Requirements in the Intel RealSense D400 Datasheet.

Hi Ron, RealSense has 'spun off' from Intel as of July 11 2025 and become its own company, RealSense Inc. I will now assist you with your issue.
RealSense cameras can be used with USB 2.0, as described at the reference below:
RealSense cameras can work well with most USB cables so long as they are high quality and do not require a special cable or knowledge of signal inputs. They are 'plug and play', and the camera should be detected when it is plugged into a USB port. In practice though, the USB ports of some computers will work better with RealSense cameras than other computers. This can be because of the brand of USB controller chosen by the computer's manufacturer to handle the ports.
An easy way to test whether the connection problem is related to a computer's USB controller is to plug the cameras into a USB hub device instead of directly into the computer's ports, as a hub will have its own separate USB controller for handling its ports that is likely of a different controller brand to the one on the computer.

May I also ask which computer or computing board you are attaching the camera to, please? With some industrial computing boards and single-board computers that have a non-typical hardware and software configuration, for example, the camera may be better able to be detected if the RealSense SDK is built from source code using a method called libuvc backend.
https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/blob/master/doc/libuvc_installation.md
This method provides a pre-made build script called libuvc_installation.sh
