Intel RealSense D415 max length of USB cable
I am sorry I don't understand the specs. I see in the data sheet 15 inches max len. of the cable but I know of applications where the sensor is used with much longer cables? What is the precise situation of use cases? It can be installed with longer cables and loss of performance?
Thank you very much

Hi Alessio Stella The official 1 meter cable supplied with the camera is validated by Intel for use with RealSense. You can extend the range with your own choice of cable but need to use a high quality cable, otherwise the camera connection could degrade or disconnect with a cable longer than 2 meters.
A company called Newnex can offer RealSense-compatible USB cables with active repeater technology to maintain the data over distance, and also fiber-optic cabling for extending the camera up to 100 meters.

An alternative solution for extending range is to use ethernet networking.
