L515 bad depth measurement
Hi,
I used D435i and L515 in my project. In a scene, most D435i depth measurements are valid while for L515, most depth measurements are 0. But as I have surveyed , TOF based depth measurements should be much better than triangle based. I don't know the reason about my test. The depth resolution for L515 is 1024*768.
This depth pictures are as below. In the picture, white area means 0 measurement.
D435i depth measurements. Most are valid
L515 depth measurements. Most are 0.

Hi Ming Ouyang,
The bad depth measurement happened because of too much ambient light in the scene. The maximum range of the L515 depends on laser power, receiver gain, object material, and ambient light. The camera can achieve a maximum possible range with a highly reflective object in a space with no ambient light. Check out this documentation
