D435 FPS drop when fps above 1000us

Hi,

I using realsense D435, when I set the exposure time to 156us@1280x720, the fps is 30. But if I increase the fps to 1000us (1ms) the fps drops to 6. Why is it? Because in theory, 30fps means exposure time could be 30.000us or 30ms. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Hi Marty
Thanks for your help. But can any one explain to me why the exposure time parameters in that weird format? I mean, the exposure time unit should be in us (microsecond) or ms (millisecond), why real sense use 100us unit for its exposure time?

The depth and RGB have separate exposure settings, and separate auto-exposures. Depth exposure uses large values (its default is 8500) and RGB exposure uses small values (its default is 156).
