Why does the depth stream has two channels?
I use the intel realsense D435 and recorded a bag file using ROS. I saw that the rgb topic (/camera/color/image_raw) has 3 channels (RGB) as expected, but the depth topic (/camera/depth/image_rect_raw) has 2 channels when I expected just one. What is the reason for that?

Hi Ninafiona Are you referring to how resolutions may sometimes be expressed with a third number on the end, such as 480x640x2 ? If so, the discussion in the link below may be helpful.
