Factory calibration for D435i
I'm trying to calibrate several units of D435i, but some of them reach calibration health of only about 1.0 after repeating intrinsics and extrinsics calibration in various conditions.
1. In case we ask factory calibration as mentioned in https://dev.intelrealsense.com/docs/intel-realsensetm-d400-series-calibration-tools-user-guide#section-1-2-components as "
In certain cases, when the device is badly out of calibration or negative effect of lighting conditions, dynamic calibration may not be able to find the right correction and coplete the process.", will it be free of charge? Where is the contact for factory calibration?
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/forms/support/intel-realsense-store-inquiry.html?store=irs didn't work for me.
2. Is factory calibration the same as the method using https://store.intelrealsense.com/buy-intel-realsense-d400-cameras-calibration-target.html?_ga=2.145915447.2051330755.1601433133-4014321.1594266451?
3. Can simple calibration using phone mentioned https://dev.intelrealsense.com/docs/intel-realsensetm-d400-series-calibration-tools-user-guide?_ga=2.44308775.2051330755.1601433133-4014321.1594266451#section-2-2-types-of-dynamic-calibration solve the issue?

Hi Kota Mogami
1. If Dynamic Calibration is unable to be completed after multiple attempts, I would recommend one of the following options for technical support:
a. Post a help request on this forum. Or;
b. If you have a Zendesk technical support account with Intel RealSense, contact Intel through that support channel.
2. Factory calibration involves calibrating both intrinsics and extrinsics. The OEM Calibration Target system's OEM version of the Dynamic Calibrator software can also calibrate both (the normal version of the software only calibrates extrinsics). So in that sense the factory calibration process and the OEM Calibration Target system are alike.
In the majority of cases, the normal version of the Dynamic Calibrator software that only calibrates extrinsics should be sufficient to complete calibration successfully.
3. In cases where dynamic calibration repeatedly fails - perhaps due to a corruption in the camera's stored calibration table - then performing a Targetless calibration first and then following it up with a Targeted calibration may help.
Performing a Gold Reset of the camera to its original factory calibration configuration with the Dynamic Calibrator software's CustomRW tool may also correct a damaged calibration table.
