D435i not found with old firmware.
Hello,
I made a mistake and accidentally installed firmware v5.10.6 to my realsense d435i using the realsense-viewer tool. Now the realsense camera is not found in realsense-viewer or rs-enumerate-devices. However it still shows up as an Intel device when I run lsusb. How can I fix this problem? Can I do something like dd the correct firmware to the usb disk?

Hi Sean Forrester Roelofs The D435i was introduced a year after the D435 and so has a minimum firmware. I believe that the earliest available one that supports the D435i is 5.11.4. You should of course update to the most recent firmware though.
If the camera is not appearing in the RealSense Viewer, you can try updating the firmware using the rs-fw-update firmware update tool. This tool includes a camera recovery mechanism if the camera is not detectable by normal means.

If you are using Windows, you can find a pre-built version of the tool in the SDK's Tools folder. (C: > Program Files (x86) > Intel RealSense SDK 2.0 > Tools).
