Multi sensor synchronization validation
Hello,
We would like to validate the synchronization of several cameras and realsense sensors together. In https://dev.intelrealsense.com/docs/multiple-depth-cameras-configuration section 2.G. an experiment is documented that could be used for this. Could you provide a source where we can buy the "High-speed LED panel" mentioned there?
Best,
Huub

Hi Huub The test described in that section was a demo for the purposes of illustrating the multiple camera white paper and was not released publicly. An alternative way to test multiple camera sync is by adding each camera in the RealSense Viewer program using the Add Source button at the top of the Viewer's options side-panel..
You can then sync them by opening the Controls section of the side-panel under the Sterero Module category and finding an option at the bottom of the Controls section called Inter Cam Sync Mode.
For the Master camera (the one that the other cameras will synchronize with), set its Inter Cam Sync Mode value to '1'. For all the other cameras, set their Inter Cam Sync Mode to '2' to make them a Slave that will try to follow the timing of the Master camera.

Hi MartyG, Thanks for the quick reply. We are looking to validate the synchronization with external cameras as well. The realsense viewer unfortunately cannot help us with that. The LED panel device that is shown in the manual would be very helpful. That's why I am interested to find out where you got that LED panel from. Is this LED panel an off the shelf device or was this a custom tool? In case it is custom, would you be willing to share its design?
Best,
Huub

I used the large "Q" icon on the LED panel in the Intel tests as an identifier to track down the product that Intel seem to be using in the multiple camera white paper.
