Visual SLAM Camera model
hello.
I am a student studying SLAM.
I am trying to implement Visual SLAM using only the camera without LIDAR, but I am confused about the camera.
1. Is the D series a stereo camera, not an RGB-D camera?
2. Do I need to purchase VSLAM technology supported by T265? Or can I just buy T265?

1. The 400 Series cameras are Stereo depth cameras. The T265 does not have depth sensing capability and has to be paired with a depth camera such as a 400 Series stereo camera if you want to perform operations involving depth (though it should be able to work with most depth cameras, not just RealSense ones). You can use a T265 and VSLAM on its own though.
2. There is an open-source VSLAM system called OpenVSLAM that is extremely customisable to suit whichever type of camera you are using.
