L515 max distance settings

Dear community,

We've received our L515 camera's but can't seem to get any good results beyond 3 meters. The site clearly states that the max distance is 9 meters, but we've had no results anywhere near that.

For now we are just simply testing using the Intel RealSense Viewer v2.35.2

Could somebody point us in the right direction?
