The RealSense L515 works with the Cubemos Skeleton Tracking SDK, which has Unity integration.  The tracked skeleton joints are represented in Unity as individual joint values.

The L515 can process 23 million accurate depth points per second and received high praise from the LUMOplay company who did an analysis video of a pre-release L515 unit.

Examples of 3D printing models created with single and multiple L515 were also recently released online.

More information about skeletal tracking, body scanning and room scanning with L515 can be found in these YouTube videos:

In regard to ordering the camera: Intel tends to supply the official RealSense Store with a new product first and then other retailers receive stock at some time after the pre-order period ends and the product becomes available for immediate purchase.  If that remains the case with L515 then the fastest way to get one without pre-ordering may be to wait until the RealSense Store's pre-order period ends.

Currently, new pre-orders are scheduled to be shipped in the week of July 26 2020.  I do not have information about whether normal in-stock selling of the L515 on the RealSense Store will open up after the 26 July.  Usually, non-Intel retailers do receive stock at some point after the release date.
