D415 cable Gen1 vs Gen2
Hello, I have lost cable to my D415.
The specs show that it uses USB-C 3.1 Gen 1, but I can only buy USB-C 3.1 Gen 2. Are these two interchangable ? From quick research, the difference should be only in speed, but I would like to make sure first. Thank you

In the few cases I have seen that do specifically mention using a 3.1 Gen 2 USB-C cable with RealSense, the users have reported that the cable worked for them. Here is an example of such a comment:

Hello, please I think it would be good idea, if the spec of the cable, included all the information.
The site says only: USB‑C* 3.1 Gen 1*
https://www.intelrealsense.com/depth-camera-d415/
I have bought USB 3.1 C - Gen 2, but the other end is USB 2.0.
But I need USB 3.0 end, which I found the hard way :(((
If the site, would say I need USB‑C* 3.1, USB 3.0 end I would have not made that mistake.

I'm sorry that you ended up with the wrong cable. If you would like to make a suggestion for the site information to be corrected, please use Intel's contact form at the link below and select 'Site Related' from the "Please Select A Topic" drop-down menu.
