Photogrammetry – 3D scanning
Hi all,
I need to get a 3D model of a human face and I would to know which product would help me?
I need to get real and precise metrics, is that possible?
And my last question is, there is an example of the equipament's output data which I could test before buying it?
Thank you for your assistance regarding this matter.

There are a number of commercial programs that can be used for precise scanning with RealSense.
DotProduct
https://www.intelrealsense.com/practical-3d-scanning-with-dot3d-pro/
IMFusion
https://www.intelrealsense.com/three-scanning-applications-with-imfusion/
itSeez3D
IMFusion's RecFusion product has a Pro version that can make use of multiple RealSense cameras for capture.
In regard to sample data, RealSense has a page of sample data files that can be used with the RealSense Viewer software (part of the RealSense SDK software) without having a camera attached.
https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/blob/master/doc/sample-data.md
All of the above scanning software packages support the RealSense 400 Series cameras. itSeez3D has additional support for the RealSense SR305 camera.

Just picking up on this slighlty older post as I just got my L515 and am testing it for the first time.
My goal is to (partially) scan rooms as precisely as possible, MartyG's reply seems to imply that I need other software for this than what the librealsense github project offers, is that right?
Sorry for the noob quesiton, I am entirely new to this.
Cheers,
frank

Hi Frank At the CES 2020 show, Intel demonstrated room scanning on the L515 with the commercial software DotProduct Dot3D Pro
https://www.intelrealsense.com/lidar-camera-l515-at-ces-2020/
Dot3D Pro has a 14 day trial licence available.
If you require further information about room scanning with L515, please create a new case on this forum as somebody else on the RealSense team is responsible for L515 related questions. Thanks!
