Interfacing D435i with Raspberry Pi Zero W
Hello,
I am interested in using the D435i in a wireless robotics application. The idea would be to use a Raspberry Pi Zero Wireless to compress the data and pass it along to a larger board through WIFI for processing.
Would the D435i be able to successfully interface with the Pi Zero if using a USB-C to Micro USB adapter with OTG support? Would the D435i work with Raspbian (based on Debian) or would we need to load Ubuntu onto the Pi (if possible)?
Thanks

The 400 Series cameras can be used with boards that have an OTG port (such as the original Up Board) via an adaptor,
Until recently, it was hard to get the D435i to work with Raspbian Buster. SDK version 2.30.0 added a fix for the build process though, so it should be okay now.
Before Raspberry Pi 4, the USB ports on Pi boards were USB 2.0. So USB 2.0 would provide some operational limitations for the camera, as it needs a USB 3 connection to access its full range of features and capabilities.
