Is my RealSense D435i broken? When I let the camera face white plane, it shows noisy points with different depths
The camera hardware has been reset in Realsense Viewer.
Even I not let the camera face the plane, the phenomenon is the same.It just shows noisy points.
When I set the resolution to 640*480 or decrease the laser power, it will be little better. But worse than other cameras.
Here is the phenomenon

The performance get worse and worse after I got the camera. Even at the first time I use it ,I found it performed not as good as others.

You could try turning the Laser Power setting down to see if it reduces the temperature. The depth sensing should still function. If that does not make a difference then you have realistically done all that you can to fix it, and a return of the camera would be the next logical course of action.
The RealSense returns policy for cameras not bought from Intel says to return the camera to the 'point of purchase'. In that case, you should check the returns policy for that particular retailer. If it is an online retailer, please look for the contact details about returns on their site. If it is a real-world store then the camera should be able to be taken back to the store in person.
The RealSense returns policy does not require that you prove the camera is broken in order to return it. It just has to be within the returns time-period. As far as I know, the window for returns is 30 days after purchase.
