On-Chip calibration frequency
Hi there.
I have studied the white paper for calibration of the D435 but am struggling to find anything related to the frequency at which it is safe to run an on-chip calibration.
By my own reckoning and experiments, its safe to run as and when required. Initially i thought this could be run periodically however i have since exposed a "depth noise" metric within my program and feel that could drive the on-chip calibration.
How are others using this feature and has anyone noted any downside to running the on-chip frequently?
Many thanks

Hi Joelgeorge9195 You can run an on-chip calibration as frequently as you wish. Doing so cannot harm the camera hardware because you manually save the calibration to the camera once you achieve a calibration health score that you are satisfied with, so it is not writing to the camera on every calibration attempt.
If your calibration program needs to be completely automated then you could add a check where it only writes the calibration to the camera if the health check score is a specific value.
