How to get an error estimate of alignment
Hi,
Using a D405, in python, I have aligned the depth and color camera. Now I just need to find the estimated error of the alignment, but I have run into the problem of not having a method for it. I might have missed it, but have been unable to find any methods for getting the error. The problem for finding the error is that its two very different types of images. Comparing straight will give nothing, so my only thought is that it needs to be some sort of feature match.
I hope my ramble can be understood, and if you have any suggestions, then i would be very happy.

Hi @kasperbalsby. On the D405 camera model, alignment accuracy is not likely to be something that needs measuring. This is because the D405 is not equipped with an RGB sensor and instead obtains the RGB image from the depth sensor. So the depth and RGB images should be relatively in alignment with each other by default.
