Changing the color scheme of the live feed
Hi,
I'm very new to depth camera and trying to know the distance by using the color scheme. My target is to have one color for a range of distance.
For example: 0.5m ~ 0.55m : Red, 0.55m ~ 0.65m : blue, 0.65m onwards, yellow.
I could use the depth visualization distance to specify the range. But using the visual preset as fixed, I get the whole spectrum of colors.
I'm using D435 camera. 848X848 resolution @30FPS

Hi G Rahul If your preference is for yellow and red in the color range then using Visual Preset Fixed and Color Scheme Warm may meet your needs.

No problem at all, I understand the question. Whilst you may be able to achieve the color range that you desired by using the Warm color scheme, you will not be able to define a precise range for each specific color. The best that you may be able to do is to enable the Histogram Equalization option and set a minimum distance of 0.50 and a maximum of 0.75.
If readability of the color gradient is important then the monochrome White to Black color scheme may work better.

Yes, that's what I was trying so far. Setting the min and max distance and using Histogram Equalization. I was trying if I can make it more precise. Thank you for clarifying that it is not possible to define the precise range for each color.
I'll try with the monochrome scheme if I can achieve the desired results.
Just an ad-on: Is it possible to change the scale we see on the right side? When I set the min and max distance, it works but the scale remains the same. So maybe if it is possible to zoom in to that scale, I can judge the distance.
