Strange timeshifts in depth video
Hi all,
I am seeing strange "timeshift" effects when first colorizing my depth frames and then writing them to a .mkv container (using h264 codec). I use these filters:
1) temporal filter
2) threshold filter
3) Colorizer
In the realsense-viewer the depth visualization looks normal. The rgb frames are being recorded normally using the same method.
Here is an example [valid for 1month]:
I tried many directions but with no success. Any pointers where I should turn to?
Kind regards
Robin

Hi Robin Aly The scene looks like an overhead view of a human who has been greatly distorted and stretched, passing through a two-sided gate on the right hand side that is pushed open as the human passes through it and then swings back automatically to its normal position after the human has passed through it (like a supermarket entrance gate). Is that an accurate description please?
It looks as though the right edge of the image is wrapping around to the opposite left edge of the image. The basis for this is a false image of the gate appearing on the left edge of the video whose swing movement is exactly synchronized with the real gate on the right edge.
Given the apparent time-related effects in the video, could you first try disabling the temporal filter and see what difference if any it makes to the depth recording, please?
