Lidar FOV cone
Hi all, we want to install the Lidar camera inside our bridge, what is the exact cone opening we need so it wont interfere with the cameras, from the specs we get 2 different cones, need the total opening,
tnx

Hello Segev,
We don't have a spec for the full FOV cone that includes both the RGB camera and the IR receiver. However, all of the information you need to calculate your own cone is in the L515 datasheet.
The FOV (HxV) for the IR receiver (Table 3-1) is 70 degrees x 55 degrees (+- 2 degrees) and the FOV of the RGB sensor (Table 4 -2) is 69 degrees x 42 degrees (+-1 degree.) Figure 3 - 2 shows the depth start point as -4.5mm from the front glass cover. Figure 3-3 shows the distance between the IR receiver and the RGB camera.
Keep in mind that the front of the L515 should not be obstructed by any filter, glass, plastic, etc. and the cooling vents need to remain unobstructed at all times. The L515 is an indoor camera only so performance degrades if there is sunlight in the scene.
Sincerely,
Jesus G.

Hi, tnx for the response, i found the data my self just after i wrote the post :)
Its seems that the tube we going to have around the Lidar would interfere a bit with the depth camera hopefully it wont affect us, the vents will be completely exposed but in closed environment and clear view in front of the Lidar
