D455 with strobed light
Dear all
is it feasible to apply a white strobed light in sync with the D455 and how?
The purpouse would be to acquire a better RGB image
As the D455 has a global shutter, i need the info of when the exposure time is open in order to turn on the light just before
Thank you
Kind Regards

Hi Alessio Stella I do not have information regarding use of strobe lights with D455 specifically, though its use with the global-shuttered D435 has been discussed in the links below.

Given that the D455 has a global shutter on its RGB sensor whilst the D435 RGB is a slower rolling shutter, I understand that the information in those links may not match completely the experience on D455.

I recall a RealSense user who wanted to explore the possibility of analyzing exact 'strobe length' by connecting an oscilloscope to one of the set of hardware sync pins that are accessible on the outside of the camera (there is a small removable cover on the top of the 400 Series cameras).

RealSense users have tended to use the Sync pin (pin 5) for signals, since other pins such as the power pin produced too much noise.
