heating of the chamber during prolonged operation
Good afternoon. Please tell me, I plan to use the intel realsense d415 camera throughout the day and I notice that it is very hot and I am afraid that when used every day for 10 hours it will become unusable! are there any solutions to this problem?

Hi 8care RealSense 400 Series cameras can run indefinitely so long as they remain within recommended temperature tolerances. They also incorporate a laser safety mechanism that will halve the laser power if the detected temperature of the projector exceeds 60 degrees C for several seconds, and then shut the laser off if the temperature continues to be excessive.
External environmental temperature may also have a bearing on internal operating temperature. Intel lab tests found that the projector temperature should stay below 60 degrees C if the camera skin temperature is below 44 degrees C.

If the camera will be used in conditions where it is difficult to control the external environment then you could consider using a custom housing for the camera to provide it with sufficient cooling.
I would also recommend checking how long it takes for the camera to become hot. If the casing is hot to the touch only a few minutes after activation then that could indicate a USB problem causing device overheating, such as a bad USB cable or a glitch on the USB port that the camera is attached to.
